I purchased a reseller account for Magmahost. Support is very excellent,but I have a big problem. I usually got 408 error from their LiteSpeed.:confused:

server may be low on memory? Can you post a screenshot of the server status page when this happens? It would give you a good amount of info on what's going on with the server (I assume they use cPanel, but other softwares should have their own status pages)

Here is the screenshot, everything is OK,nothing is wrong,server load is normal, memory usage is normal....Whatever it is,all is up and nothing seems like wrong, But it is exactly 408 time out error. Powered By cPanel+LiteSpeed.

Have you tried contacting them about the problem? They will probably be able to help you diagnose the issue since they have access to all the logs. If it's not memory then something else is making the page take too long to load so it just times out.

They said they already tried to contact LiteSpeed support but no one because of Christmas.

...if they look at their error logs they should be able to google something out of it. When I get apache errors and I get stumped, google always saves me. I'm pretty sure they can at least try it out because I doubt you like getting that error too often. And speaking of that, how often does this happen?

Everyday! Everyday I got 408 error!

I don't have much exp with lightspeed so I can't make any accurate guesses. You could just wait for them and see what happens after Christmas.

May I ask what sort of content you have displaying in the index file. Based on the server status screenshot, you should not be seeing this issue. I also run LightSpeed on my boxes and can tell you that this does not normally happen. Did you want to try to duplicate the issue with me and see if this is not a error with the script that you are running.

Is it only certain sites? or all of them?

If it's certain sites then you should look at what's being done. If blogs are using modifications or plugins they could be interfering with the load. You'd have to consider all circumstances.

only your host can do something about this assuming it's a server side issue and from the other posters, it seems like a server side issue.

Yes,they said they already reset the configuration. Hopefully this will resolve it...

One of our recent servers was experiencing problems with the RAM. It's since been replaced and you shouldn't see the 408 errors any further if you do please contact support and they will fix the problem but it shouldn't occur again.

I also encounter such errors even on offpeak hours! :( this has been happening weeks ago and support said they fixed it but they didnt actually. as it keeps coming back.. i dont know what the cause is, maybe the server is overloaded..
