![]() | View Full Version : Why I always got 408 error? jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 08:11 PM I purchased a reseller account for Magmahost. Support is very excellent, but I have a big problem. I usually got 408 error from their LiteSpeed. njoker555 12-24-2009, 08:28 PM server may be low on memory? Can you post a screenshot of the server status page when this happens? It would give you a good amount of info on what's going on with the server (I assume they use cPanel, but other softwares should have their own status pages) jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 08:31 PM http://close.cc/status.png Here is the screenshot, everything is OK,nothing is wrong, server load is normal, memory usage is normal....Whatever it is,all is up and nothing seems like wrong, But it is exactly 408 time out error. Powered By cPanel+LiteSpeed. njoker555 12-24-2009, 08:33 PM Have you tried contacting them about the problem? They will probably be able to help you diagnose the issue since they have access to all the logs. If it's not memory then something else is making the page take too long to load so it just times out. jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 08:37 PM They said they already tried to contact LiteSpeed support but no one because of Christmas. njoker555 12-24-2009, 08:38 PM ...if they look at their error logs they should be able to google something out of it. When I get apache errors and I get stumped, google always saves me. I'm pretty sure they can at least try it out because I doubt you like getting that error too often. And speaking of that, how often does this happen? jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 08:41 PM Everyday! Everyday I got 408 error! njoker555 12-24-2009, 08:43 PM I don't have much exp with lightspeed so I can't make any accurate guesses. You could just wait for them and see what happens after Christmas. jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 08:46 PM OK,then. I have no idea what I can do. njoker555 12-24-2009, 08:49 PM You have just two options right now, stay and wait, or move out. Works basically the same as every host. jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 08:52 PM I want to wait. KMyers 12-24-2009, 09:46 PM I want to wait. Jerry, May I ask what sort of content you have displaying in the index file. Based on the server status screenshot, you should not be seeing this issue. I also run LightSpeed on my boxes and can tell you that this does not normally happen. Did you want to try to duplicate the issue with me and see if this is not a error with the script that you are running. jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 09:49 PM OK,all my clients including me are using Wordpress 2.9,and they have no plugins will make heavy damage. And they have no proxy,no API,and no adult. KMyers 12-24-2009, 09:51 PM OK,all my clients including me are using Wordpress 2.9,and they have no plugins will make heavy damage. And they have no proxy,no API,and no adult. Jerry, So this is happening with all of your clients? jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 09:52 PM Yes,everyday whatever it is evening or morning. KMyers 12-24-2009, 09:57 PM Yes,everyday whatever it is evening or morning. Jerry, So it happens only sometimes? If this is the case, can you get a screenshot of the server status page while it happens? jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 09:59 PM http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=6561121&postcount=1 jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 10:02 PM Sorry.....I just copy the wrong link... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=6561035&postcount=1 oliviakitty 12-24-2009, 10:03 PM That's so funny... I have never seen a 408 Error :) KMyers 12-24-2009, 10:08 PM Sorry.....I just copy the wrong link... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=6561035&postcount=1 Yes, I saw the screenshot, the question is that was this taken at the same time you were getting the error message? jerrychenme 12-24-2009, 10:10 PM Every time I got 408 error I will check the server load and memory usage, but there is exactly normal, I have no idea why I got 408 error on my clients' websites. I mean blogs. njoker555 12-25-2009, 02:26 AM Every time I got 408 error I will check the server load and memory usage, but there is exactly normal, I have no idea why I got 408 error on my clients' websites. I mean blogs. Is it only certain sites? or all of them? If it's certain sites then you should look at what's being done. If blogs are using modifications or plugins they could be interfering with the load. You'd have to consider all circumstances. jerrychenme 12-25-2009, 02:27 AM I have no idea. njoker555 12-25-2009, 02:28 AM I have no idea. How do you not know if it's every site or just one site? By every site, I mean every site under you or under your control, not every site on the server jerrychenme 12-25-2009, 02:31 AM http://untitled-document.cn http://moeco.us http://raycow.com They are my clients' blog. Every hour I will check the speed and PING. yajur 12-25-2009, 02:41 AM this 408 error to due to php crash in litespeed, when the server request is maxmium jerrychenme 12-25-2009, 02:43 AM I knew,so I told them to increase the max connection. ender049 12-25-2009, 04:29 AM I have an account in magmahsot too! and got 408 often too! jerrychenme 12-25-2009, 05:00 PM Can any one help me?
