there is the "hook" feature. You can use it to tie in with an online sms provider so when you get a new order it will send you an sms msg with the details.

What I have done, is create a forwarder in the email account that I use for my WHMCS, that will forward email to my cell phone. Most providers have it set up so that you can use the phonenumber@provider email address.

Im guessing you created a "support guy" with the email "phonenumber@provider.com" for this since WHMCS will send you messages like crazy if you created an admin because of all the crons and domain renewal requests you would get on a daily basis. :D

Yes, I have a non standard named email account associated with my WHMCS, so that I do not get random emails. Something like this:

Domain email - supportcenter@domain.com --> and I forward these emails to --> phonenumber@provider

In case the OP is a bit confused you can follow these steps

1) log in as administrator
2) Go to set up
3) then administrator roles
4) Tick account emails and support emails
4) create a new user under that role
5) use the number email you got from your provider "234@domain.com"
6) collect all your emails via text :)

Well thanks for your replies.

Are there any free providers out there?

Most US companies have a number@domain.com email available with your mobile number which is free..But i don't think there would be any international free ones.

In the UK there are no free email SMS gateways/APIs. There are paid APIs and gateways though. If you do happen to find one, please message me, I've been looking for ages!

Try http://www.webtext.com/ I have used their test account and it really does deliver text world wide. I tried US, Trinidad and Tobago and even Guadeloupe. I think you get like 20 free sms to test the account. I have also used another online web text but I found the interface was very old :D

Hi
Do you have any paid sms provider ? We use the SMS notification for our company, integrated with WHMCS, we have made our own script that will send sms notification to the customers mobile when there is an invoice created. It will also send a notification when the invoice is paid. Is that you want ?

SMS to customer or SMS to your own mobile ? because I can help you for this if you have your own sms gateway account by guiding you how to make it. Sorry I am not offering this as a paid service :)

A bit late, but if you didn't found anything, take a look to http://www.scriptlisans.com/

I'm looking for an alternative gateway of Clickatell now who are a bunch of useless.

I use push mail for my notifications. And I don't find it any slower than SMS.
