I have began web hosting in, I believe, 2003 but my time for and interest in web hosting has been minimal for the past few years. As such, I only have a few sites hosted any longer.

Total income on these 4 sites is about 650$ and their usage is incredibly low. I am thinking I should just sell their commitment now since 3 of the 4 pay yearly however I am not sure on the value.

What would you guys say is fair?

We'd also have to look at the packages they have, in terms of space, bandwidth, etc. And yearly paying clients are usually worth far less than ones that pay monthly.

Since its only four and you are looking to get out. Why not seek a trusted partner or friend in the same industry and just turn them over?

It's always tough to say "what they are worth". So many variables go into it. Sometimes it's a vibe between seller and buyer. Sometimes it's just dollars.

Plus
You've been doing this for a while and they know/trust you. They would probably continue yearly plans with another host on your recommendation.

Minus
They are yearly and there is always the risk of loss.

Minus
At an average of $13.50/month each and usage that is "incredibly low", I would (out of good concience) probably move them to one of my smaller, less expensive plans at a fraction of $13. It would take much longer to recoup an average outlay or my bid would be much lower.

I operate multiple business models at different sites - $0.99/month, $3-$9/month, 1-size&price-fits-all, etc. I usually have the flexability of fitting purchased clients into plans that they are used to. I'm sure many of the bidders here end up creating 47 different plans at one hosting site that they can't keep track of. I have purchased such "companies".
