Sparrow-Sean 12-21-2009, 03:26 AM Hello Forum,

This site has stolen both Site Wide and WHMCS.
Our Site: http://atechosting.com/
Please do not purchase from this company.
Thank you,

Thank you, Hope a Mod can modify this.

Seems amazing, But quite a pest. He has even left the tracking code on the rip, Easy track downs I say.

Yeah that's the good part, I've tracked down most of them as they happen cause my live chat tells on them.
coingallery 12-21-2009, 03:54 AM Looks like a weird copycat to me. He still has your name and logo throughout the site, the support links go to your forum and the biggest kicker is all the purchase links go to your website still.

On the front page, They actually remain on his website.
Payton Designs 12-21-2009, 04:18 AM Always hate to see my designs get ripped, I hope you can get it taken down as soon as possible.
Sparrow-Sean 12-21-2009, 04:19 AM I have sent a DMCA Notice to both parties involved, Including the site owner and his webhosting provider.
Though, It now seems it has been taken thoroughly quickly. :)
MikeDVB 12-21-2009, 06:38 AM It is good to see action taken quickly - hopefully it was action and not them just pulling it down to "customize" it more...

Hello Mike,
Hopefully it's off for good, Contacted Andy the person who was using our site as a rip through his e-mail that was on WHOIS.
I was informed by Andy the site was used for testing purposes and understanding different codes, That does not stick with me sadly. If this was the case why not use a free template?
To add the Meta tags of the site were changed along with a few other changes, To me personally their was more happening than just testing.
Anyways, I had informed that even though he was inspired and was so intrigued in the design it does not give intellectual rights to hold the template and it's content under his name or on his server, He basically had the site and was changing it to suit needs.
He was responsive and a DMCA was sent to him
and his webhost and he obliged to remove the content asap, Which works for me
Hope to not see it there again ;)
TonyB 12-21-2009, 12:12 PM I really think posts like this are really unnecessary. I'm not sure the point to announcing on this forum that someone ripped your design and you're sending a DMCA. This is not just to the OP either all the other posts like this as well. To me these sorts of topics just scream a chance to post a topic revolving around their site. So the fact people are ripping their site is a good thing from a marketing perspective.
Vaxination 12-21-2009, 12:19 PM I don't see why they actually do this... Are they disabled in any way?
CKGroup 12-21-2009, 12:25 PM Looks like it has been removed, we'll images anyways
iHubNet-Matt 12-21-2009, 12:54 PM Though, It now seems it has been taken thoroughly quickly. :)
Glad to hear that. But I am sad that I have not got a chance to see how it look like ;) .
ItsJustHosting 12-21-2009, 12:56 PM Everything seems to be removed now.

These threads serve as a record of which hosting "companies" (though these are almost certainly just an individual with some spare time) are to be avoided.
I would never make a decision to host with somebody based on the fact their site design was liked enough to be ripped. Nor would I suddenly decide I want to go with them based on their posting a URL to their site here. I'll look at their site and think "That's well designed" or "Who would want to steal that?" but certainly wouldn't make any decisions toward hosting with them.
Justin 12-21-2009, 02:58 PM Thank you, Hope a Mod can modify this.
Of course. Thread moved to a more appropriate board :)
Good luck on getting this fiasco resolved.
Sparrow-Sean 12-21-2009, 05:17 PM Glad to hear that. But I am sad that I have not got a chance to see how it look like ;) .
Basically it was the exact replica of our website with some minor modifications.

From a political stand-point I will admit to myself that warning the community was a rightful choice, You have your own opinions on whether such things can be posted, Publicity wise I see you are not happy about it because you are not involved.
If you aren't a fan of these thread why get involved in the first place?
Anyways, I am not here to make an argument and I am not here to take an argument, The thread has not been beneficial to me in anyway. It is more or was more a community warning about a site that may or may not have been making financial gains via our hosting template.

Glad to see that you were able to get them to take down the design you purchased. On a side note I find it kind of funny that one of your favorite links in your post is for a warez site and your complaining about people stealing you work. lol

Could you please point out this link?
The link in question done with google search is associated with torrents and warez, But why is this my favourite link?
Sean
PogiWeb 12-21-2009, 07:46 PM I should of stated your attachment image contains one of your bookmarks for a Warez board.
Sam [Vissol] 12-21-2009, 07:57 PM Word of advice Sean, make sure you remove Warez-bb from your bookmarks toolbar when you next screenshot your browser!
OVNet 12-21-2009, 08:17 PM Payton must do some hot design work. :) Good to see the proper action was taken in the shortest amount of time.

They didn't even bother to update the ASN number on the bottom..
It is a very nice design though!

That's the thing I noticed, They have left tracking code their aswell; So whom ever accesses their site it will show up in our live chat system.
Everything has been left the same but with a few changes on the tabs, contacts, shared pages.
They are using an illegal WHMCS and I have noticed this since yesterday afternoon. So frustrating.

Hello,
Why dont people just buy templates, they are so cheap now a days. I think I paid less then $50.00 for mine (Total $300 after custom graphics/etc). I do have a feeling that they will be getting a DMCA from WHMCS Soon :)
Sparrow-Sean 12-29-2009, 02:45 AM Hello Keith,
Exactly, I paid $399 for the whole template and for someone to rip it and use it is quite unethical. :)
I have traced them back to "Super Website Hosting", Though cannot get an exact link. I believe they are hosted with:- http://superwebhosting.org

How do you come upon these duplicates? Just the tracking code?
Sparrow-Sean 12-29-2009, 07:22 AM How do you come upon these duplicates? Just the tracking code?Exactly, Livezilla has a tracker and if the "perpetrator" does not remove it we can see each access to their site.
In this case they are too dumb to remove it and we can easily re-direct their traffic :)
If you travel via the source code you will notice they have not been bothered to remove our name from it and have failed to remove the source code.
I had actually tracked this down because of this:-

This is from 1 month ago, and Sean already removed the content from his site, so no point reviving this thread.

His point was Sean cry's about someone using his content but yet he used some one else's lol.

Actually, it was only a couple of days ago.
And nevertheless, he did use other people's work, and didn't think it was wrong.
Sam [Vissol] 01-31-2010, 04:27 AM Don't you have anything else to be doing other than trying to further ruin somebodies reputation AFTER the issue was resolved? Yes, what Sean did was stupid & wrong, but the thread was closed. No more discussion about it is necessary.

You can't count can you? 12-29-2009 11:22 AM
Sean already admitted everything, what more do you guys want from him?
Come on guys a few button doesn't warrant your constant attacking.
It looks like somebody is trying to gain something here especially with the constant sig flashing. Maybe you guys hope to take over his clients?
Disrelation 02-01-2010, 12:06 AM His point was Sean cry's about someone using his content but yet he used some one else's lol.
Lol, I was just about to ask why he would be complaining if he himself has been ripping images from another website.
