Can someone here guide me through setting up DNS for a domain of mine.

Everything resigstrar I have used I have never had a problem registering DNS ns1 ns2 etc. But at resllerclub and resell.biz its just not that simple to me.

When I check the domain with leafdns.com it says "None of your nameserver names contain glue or A records. This error is fatal. Your domain is not resolveable"

The only thing i noticed that resellerclub and resell.biz both use logicbox or orderbox control panel for there domains.

Any help would be great.

thank you

You aren't creating glue records. Glue records have nothing to do with DNS. Glue records are created on the domain level.

Where the domains are registered would be where you configure glue records. This is sometimes called 'nameserver registration'. Some domain companies don't support glue records/nameserver registration.

1&1 was infamous for this but they may have changed by now.

Hello James,

thanks for the reply. I did nothing different originally then I would any other host, and I have tried everything I could to do more then ever to fix this.

What I did was just transfer my domain to NameCheap where my other DNS domains reside.

Once again, thank you for the reply

Put your name server here http://www.verisign-grs.com/whois/ and see if the IP comes up...if an IP shows up then the glue records are created.

Also, if you can tell us what nameserver it is we might be able to pin point exactly what the problem is...

At LogicBoxes it's called child name servers. You create child nameservers for a domain like ns1.yourdomain.com, ns2.yourdomain.com you are also required to create the same on your server.

That was all done.

Thanks for the reply.

didn't know they were called glue records, but this explains an old problem we had with 1&1 - it resulted in ending any biz relationship with them, all bridges burned down since then...

Issue was actually on the server/host, not the registrar. Interesting thing is that it happened at two different hosts though.

Actually it was Chris from NEO who found the issue for me.
