Has anyone had their pet flown from one city to another, in the US via airplane? I am talking about unaccompanied flights. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

StarGate 11-23-2002, 09:20 PM Well I flew 2 cats from Germany to Greece once and I had them with me next to my seat. I gave them 2 Valium each cause they wouldn't shut up with only one :D But everything was fine when they woke up the next day :D :D No joke btw :) interactive 11-23-2002, 09:22 PM I had a terrior transported. Now I know what they designed the wheel wells for on the plane. JK! It's been a long time, don't remember how much it cost. I think it was something around $150. They don't allow big animals, and you provided your own crate with water/food. Umm thats about all that comes to mind at the moment. Acroplex 11-23-2002, 09:23 PM Thanks NocSol. But I said, "unaccompanied" or in other words, just putting the pet on a flight by itself. Acroplex 11-23-2002, 09:24 PM Thanks Robert. I plan to have my cat flown from Dallas to Orlando. Wish me luck :bawling: Theater 11-23-2002, 09:40 PM Originally posted by timechange Thanks Robert. I plan to have my cat flown from Dallas to Orlando. I appreciate it! Yep, I'm in Orlando :) I'm freezing, but I do love the cold weather.. it's great. susannad 11-23-2002, 10:35 PM what a role model interactive, my cat spends a lot of his time with one paw pointing up and outwards . I don't know why he does that, it's weird, he's sitting here looking at me now with his paw pointing to something in the future .. like those statues of Lenin Acroplex 11-23-2002, 10:37 PM Please post a pic, susannad...He must be really cute. Vex 11-23-2002, 10:38 PM Aww, that does sound cute :) Odd Fact 11-23-2002, 10:56 PM I would suggest checking with the carriers. During summertime many airlines will not transport animals unless they are aid/military animals and then they ride in the cabin. You vet should be able to provide medication to help keep the cat calm. Good Luck! Acroplex 11-23-2002, 11:21 PM Thanks! I hope to have my cat for Christmas :D |
