View Full Version : Me4host.com - My experience
Dennis H 12-16-2009, 04:49 PM At the very beginning it was all looking good, their reseller plans was great, and cheap. But after a week everything went straight down. Simple HTML pages was loading VERY slow. Secondly they promise 24/7 technical suppport which isen't true, i had to wait at least two days for a response. And then i decided to cancel my hosting, and the refund period was not exceeded to i requested a full refund as promised but nothing. I made 3 tickets and waited a 1 week but then i gave up. Also WHM was warning me all the time that the server was about to run out of disk space.
I do NOT recommend Me4host.com.

Hi Dennis,
I am sorry to hear that their support wasn't good. You get what you pay for and usually cheap providers cannot offer the best support. I am sorry to hear they didn't refund you, how much did you lose?
Have you found a new provider?

I lost $20.95 USD
I am looking at some providers but i will consider everything before making my mind.
JixHost 12-16-2009, 05:42 PM For that amount you should be getting good support. Look around WHT and google for more reviews.

Everyone learns from their mistakes! Good to know you'll be (hopefully) making the right decision!
XeHSean 12-17-2009, 04:12 AM Sorry to hear about your poor experience with me4host.com. In the future, definitely do research on the company before purchasing hosting - perhaps you would have chosen a different company from the start ;)
Dennis H 12-17-2009, 07:41 AM Yes you are all right, i should have done som research first. Thanks for your answers.
KMyers 12-17-2009, 09:35 AM Hello,
When I started as a reseller before I went to dedicated, I used them for a few customer accounts. They were stable for a short time and quickly became unstable. I think the problems is they sell "Unlimited" Alpha Reseller accounts on e-bay and have everything set up on a VPS rather then true dedicated hardware. VPS's cannot staand up to cPanel and extreme overselling.
For verification, here is an invoice that I dug up from my e-mail archive.

The domain is only a few months old.
I recommend you search for a host at least 1-2 years in business, have good uptime record and use more than 1 server.

Age of host shouldn't matter, although it does add to the reputation and reliability factors, but a company could be 3 years old and if they have a shoddy plan on running the business, then it just negates the "age is wisdom" thing here.
But I agree with the uptime record, not sure about the multiple server. Depending on size of host, one server would be enough - but it does depend.

True, age doesn't matter, but you tend to have a better chance of quality service with an older, more reputable provider who has already established himself in the industry :)
