Hi There,

Since yesterday at 3PM PST, a dedicated server has been down at dedicatednow. My host put me on this box, and has filed many tickets there. So much for 24hr support :rolleyes:

Is anyone else having this problem?

Any update to this? I am/was considering ordering a server with them.

Everythings been resolved. APparently, paypal, pulled the host over as one of their checks. The money was going through then. It was not dedicatednow's fault. As soon as this was igured out the server was abck up in an hour and 12 minutes.

it is obviously too early to make a conclusion regarding connectivity and such, but the guys over there have handled a couple requests i threw at them amazingly well.

i got it as a test box not expecting too much from it - just something to play around with and have been very pleasantly surprised. theyve gone out of their way to help out and were very forthcoming on a number of things. all in all, the service side of it gets a big thumbs up.

I too have been extremely pleased with the servers we set up there. There was an issue recently about a problem router...other than that, its been great...


BTW, does anyone know the phone number over there. I recall them saying there was an emergency number but I've been unable to locate it. If somebody could PM that to me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am the friend to Templateguy, and yes it was a GREAT pleasure working with Venissa <sp> at Dedicated Now she immediatly contacted Matt in regards to this and the box was up little better than an hour.

Dedicated Now was at no blame at all it was sorta my fault, and if I was on their end I would have done the same thing.

I paid thru paypal, using my checking account, and it went to them as an Instant Transaction. Well, over the past week or so I have purchased alot of things thru paypal and my bank and my bank has called me twice leaving messages on my voicemail and I passed it off as them trying to get me to get a loan or something as I had a few of those calls over the past month, I think the banks are running out of money again :D Anyways failure for me to call them back they put a hold on my account not allowing for things online to be process...they stated to me this is a security check they do as I was spending beyond my normal spending patterns and they could not contact me to verify this. I have never heard of a bank to do this but hey I do appreaciate it I guess in the long run, but for the short period I wish they never done it as it just caused me alot of headaches.

So, paypal reversed the instant transaction out of Dedicated Now's account as a fraud transaction. When I contacted Venessa on Saturday she was very nice and got things rolling for me very quickly, got in contact with Matt to get the box up very quickly.

So, yes all I do highly recommend DedicatedNow to all as they are truely an understanding company as well as a company that does things very quickly

I just wanted to make sure I posted this so that those that are inquiring about DedicatedNow can really see how they shine in areas that some lack

So far .. so good with dedicatednow .. early days but feels good at the moment :)

Other than the router issues a few days ago it's been all good since we got our servers on the 15th :) We are very pleased with our servers and plan on getting more soon.
