I'm on a shell hosting plan with NullShells (join #envy on irc.rizon.net (irc://irc.rizon.net/envy), look for Orderly[ENVY], and say !help to get my bot's attention), and am immensely enjoying the service and support I receive. For a paltry $4/month, I can run my eggdrop bot with its own vhost, and have experienced the best technical support I've ever gotten, from anywhere.
Dren pays pretty good attention to the channel, and has been very flexible in making sure the server is configured with the toys I want. Old version of TCL? I asked him about it, and it was upgraded within an hour or two (it broke the server's stock installation of eggdrop, so we worked together to figure out why that was). Wanted to play with SQLite/TCL? Looked into the options, and then got the appropriate module installed. One time I broke my shell by having too many orphaned processes running... he cleaned it out with a smile. Another time I got myself locked out - he set my account straight in short order and life was good.
I bugged him about automatic rebilling, something NS doesn't currently offer standard. He took the time to work with me, and I beta tested his new implementation, and now it's available upon request (with the understanding that there may still be a few kinks to work out). This guy changes his system because the customers want something new or something different. That's crazy... crazy awesome :)
For reference, I signed up on October 14, so this is just about my 2-month anniversary with them. Loving it!
