Firstly I do not know if this is the right forum so if it is not please simply put it where it is supposed to be. Thank you in advance. :)

I have this client who hired my company to do a web design project. It entails a front end and a back end. The problem is not the front end but the backend. He stated he needs a client area and admin area. In the admin area he must be able to see financial statements, most important customers and he must also receive emails to a specified address.

I was chatting with the web development designers when we were brainstorming about the project and a designer said he would be able to work with joomla. The only problem is that I do not like joomla fully because it does not validate plus its bulky and hard to understand the backend for a non techie person. (like the client) If joomla is used I would have to constantly support him in ways I do not wish for right now. I want him to feel comfortable with his design.

Now my take on it is that I can use WHMCS or CLIENTEXEC since they both have a brilliant backend which can be used for just about any business. I prefer WHMCS but it is costly. CLIENTEXEC is around the same price when you remove the link to the bottom (about $100 to remove)

My question is, which one do you think I should use? I would like to purchase anyone with the owned feature which removes the link. I know how to operate WHMCS and feel very comfortable in it but CLIENTEXEC is another story. I never used the darn thing.

Use CLIENTEXEC or WHMCS and which one would suit a non hosting business best?

Thank you for your time and consideration :)

I have used clientexec for our forum posting and web design companies for years.

+1 CE

I like how WHMCS has a mobile edition also so I can give him the benefit of using the billing system on the go. Does CLIENTEXEC have that feature?

I am not sure why anyone needs a "mobile version" these days considering all the smart phones act like regular browsers. However CE has this covered just toss /mobile on the end of the CE url and it displays a mobile template.
