Does any of the regular Billing software like WHCMS or ClientExec allow for pay as you go billing? If not is there any software that does?

Define your PAYG for billing softwares. WHMCS and ClientExec are pretty cheap already...

LaptopFreak: I'm pretty sure he meant if the billing systems allow him to charge his clients on a PAYG basis.

And OP, I'm pretty sure it doesn't come included and will require some type of mod.

PAYG would be cool as customers would definitely get what they are paying for then (Oversold servers-aside, or course). I bet it would be a right nightmare coding that kind of system though.

i think we need to understand pay as you go? you mean like cloud computing like xx cents per cpu, xx for bandwidth - and invoice it daily?

Pay as you go is the same as "credit".

Most billing systems offer some kind of "credit" or "pre-purchase" capability.

For example, www.awbs.com offers the customer the ability to prepay. You can specify minimum and maximum amounts, and also what the prepaid money can be used for.

I don't understand what you mean by pay as you go. You mean paying per gb of bandwidth or something?

If this is what you mean AWBS can support this.

Perhaps if you give a few more details on what you mean?

Pay as you go has always interest me, I've applied it on my latest hosting business before I closed it down. It really works beautifully.

With pay as you go, you can gain the market for small businesses and personal use that will only use some 50MB - 100MB off your server resource and almost no bandwidth at all.

If you can offer a compelling pay as you go billing it would definitely sets your business a part.

With pay as you go in the shared market, what you can do is bill your clients later based on their usage. This can be easily done with WHMCS, all the required functionality are already there to apply a pay as you go billing scheme.

You just need to be a bit creative on implementing it.
