Just doing a little research. Wondering how much time you spend on average answering a support ticket (ie. 30 secs, 1 min, 2 mins, 5 mins, etc). I would like to know an overall average (so if you have maybe 50 tickets and it takes you an hour total because some are really easy and some are a little more work then you say it takes on average 1.2 mins per ticket). Any responses would be greatly appreciated...

Thinking back on my tech support days I think I used to answer about 300 calls a day in an 8 hour day. between telephone and support desk.

I would say on average 2 minutes for all the basic same questions you get daily.

A good tip, compile a list of the most FAQ and make some detailed canned responses. It will save you some time.

Im not sure about all you people but i spend as long as it takes to resolve any customer related issues.

If you treat your customers well they inturn will treat your business well :D

You can still treat your customers well and be quick. Because if you are not then those customers still waiting for support are not being treated well;) There must be a balance.
