ranjitkgupta 12-08-2009, 07:54 AM I have been using filezilla for quite some time and have found it very good for ftp. What is the reason for hating filezilla? I found nothing better than filezilla. Its the best.
gregm11 12-08-2009, 09:11 AM I always recommend filezilla and winscp which are both free, or an old favorite is wsftp, get the LE version if you can find it.

inspiron 12-08-2009, 09:25 AM WinSCP is another alternatives its opensource. But I truly love the features of the filezilla.
RemyHorton 12-08-2009, 09:15 PM I use psftp (PuTTY's sftp) and ncftp (can do recursive downloads) as i prefer commandline tools.
Dan321 12-08-2009, 09:31 PM I use putty, winscp and filezilla. All work perfect!
kosals 12-09-2009, 12:35 AM Cygwin is usable for some people but it is very corporate / enterprise focus and installing software can be a hassle and some software available for Cygwin just isn't available via SFU.
PowerShell is a good one, as has a lot more potential of Windows for scripting and automation.
shekofte 12-13-2009, 06:18 AM thanks kosals for suggesting of PowerShell
keserhosting 12-14-2009, 11:44 AM I think filezilla leads to be ahead of all in this race.
huwnet 12-14-2009, 11:50 AM Filezilla is good for FTP/SFTP. Sometimes I also use the command line when I need to do a single file quickly.
For unencrypted, quick transfers I also like netcat :)
WS_FTP pro. Been using it for many, many years. I've tried quite a few others, and keep going back to it. Very reliable, rarely have any issues using it, compatible with every server I've ever connected to.
Muttek 12-14-2009, 01:23 PM I use putty, winscp and filezilla. All work perfect!
Well said. I agree.
Shining Star 12-14-2009, 01:31 PM I prefer Filezilla+Robocopy
Dave - Just199 12-14-2009, 01:42 PM Filezilla here, there really isn't anything better not that filezilla is very good.
Sunnytm 12-16-2009, 04:20 PM cuteftp, winscp, filezilla, and command line ftp...
