There are many phone company providers that provide 1-888 numbers. Is there a way that if I know the 1-888 number I can know which phone company provides that number?
Thanks,

He wants to find out what phone company issued a certain 1-888 number. In which case, I don't think such a thing is possible. Atleast without having to pay for the information. Acronym BOY 11-22-2002, 11:48 PM Did you call and ask who their telco is? Seems like the simplest, cheapest, easiest solution I can think of. They are spammers, and would not tell any info you ask them. allera 11-23-2002, 12:07 AM There is a way to do it online. I've done it before. I just can't remember now... I may have found it here on WHT. Acronym BOY 11-23-2002, 12:10 AM Call your phone company, tell them there are repeated calls from telelmarketers and you want to know who their telco is as well as have them blocked from calling your number. mtmmrkt 11-23-2002, 01:15 AM If you don't mind spending some money, I have a guy who can probably help. He can get copies of toll phone records, name and addresses from cell numbers, you name it. I used him to get the unlisted address and phone for an IRS Special Agent from the Criminal Investigation Division that I needed to interview for my novel. I'm sure spammers cover their tracks well, but not as well as IRS guys. http://www.american-detective-agency.com/unlisted.html midwestserv 11-23-2002, 03:03 AM I can lookup what company owns the resporg(Responsible Organization) IE mci att qwest on it, just post the toll free AceWeb 11-23-2002, 04:17 AM 1-888-869-4678 I get daily spam e-mails from them with that phone number on it. Quest says that the telephone company who owns that number is Pelis Communication, and they contact them, but Pelis denies that is own that number. I guess this is a good coverup. |
