There are many phone company providers that provide 1-888 numbers. Is there a way that if I know the 1-888 number I can know which phone company provides that number?

Doesn't always have an entry for a number, but it's a good place to start.

No... He wants to find out what phone company issued a certain 1-888 number. In which case, I don't think such a thing is possible. Atleast without having to pay for the information.

Did you call and ask who their telco is?

Seems like the simplest, cheapest, easiest solution I can think of.

Can't. They are spammers, and would not tell any info you ask them.

There is a way to do it online. I've done it before. I just can't remember now... I may have found it here on WHT.

Call your phone company, tell them there are repeated calls from telelmarketers and you want to know who their telco is as well as have them blocked from calling your number.

If you don't mind spending some money, I have a guy who can probably help.
He can get copies of toll phone records, name and addresses from cell numbers, you name it. I used him to get the unlisted address and phone for an IRS Special Agent from the Criminal Investigation Division that I needed to interview for my novel. I get daily spam e-mails from them with that phone number on it.

The AT&T # (800-222-3000) doesnt automatically give you the info you want anymore when you enter a #,it gives you someone LIVE which then you have you aks them,etc.......The 959 one is automated..........:)

No one claims the ownership of that number, and each company points to another one.

Quest says that the telephone company who owns that number is Pelis Communication, and they contact them, but Pelis denies that is own that number.

I guess this is a good coverup.
