I see hundreds of offers with unlimited this, unlimited that, special discount and so on...

It looks to me that you can pay peanuts for a web hosting but do you get monkeys for that?

I hope you can help me finding a very very reliable service with good support for a reasonable price. Here what I need to host:

- 14 domains (10 small, 4 with online shop)
- Support for .NET 2.0, ASP and PHP
- at least 3 email accounts for each domain
- it's critical that the email is very reliable and support IMAP
- Webmail
- 10Gb disk space or more
- 5Gb monthly bandwidth or more
- backup
- good and fast support

Do you think I should look for a dedicated server?

At the moment I'm on a shared server and had several availability problems

Thank you in advance for all the replies!

You may want to look into VPS offerings, I've seen some nice providers that use SAN for high availability/failover on VPS nodes.

I prefer to have it in Europe as all my customers (apart 1) are located in EU and because if I need support I don't want to wait their office opening time.

I worked with plesk and I liked it. About budget I think a reliable professional provider could cost me about 30€ per month, but money is not the most important issue. The most important thing is RELIABILITY and AVAILABILITY

I've never used these guys before so I cannot comment on their services specifically.

But it look promising as they specialize in SAN based Virtual Servers. Though their base package is a smidge above your budget. However it never hurts to ask them. ;)

have you tried hostgator?

I tried to google "hostgator" and any combination of "bad service", "s*cks", and so on and found a lot of people complains.

For me the reliability is the most important thing. I don't think I want to risk with hostgator.

Thank you anyway for the tip

Since you are looking for a Europe based RELIABLE hosting company, I would highly recommend you to try webhost.uk.net (http://www.webhost.uk.net). I have my website hosted with them and have found them to be the most reliable, secure, stable and moreover cheap web hosting company when it comes to your business websites.

HostGator is a Linux host. They don't offer Windows based services for shared hosting.

It sounds like you need business hosting, not budget hosting. So don't look at budget hosts like HostGator. They work on volume, keep that in mind.

Trying to get a host that specializes in bundling high availability email, with virus scanning, spam filtering and all the other hosting recommendations can be tough.

My advise, split them apart. Use a host that specializes in email hosting, like Rackspace. http://www.rackspace.com/email_hosting/rackspace_email

He needs ASP and ASP.Net, therefore a Windows Host, Hostgator offer linux hosting.

To the OP, if you can lower your space needs, take a look to cartikahosting.com

Support for .NET 2.0, ASP and PHP

If you need the support both, then you would need some windows hosting, I have used eukhost for my windows hosting with sql, and it was definitely a nice experience.

I think to split is also a good idea. In the past I contacted Rackspace and I heard only very good things from them but the price is very high for my profile. I need few emails account for several domains and this would costs me several hundreds euros. This is rellay too much.

Thank you for the very good tip anyway!!!

Get yourself a Windows VPS (either Virtuozzo or Hyper-V) with hosted options such as DNS and you won't look back.

I would have to agree with the other guys here for 14 websites would be best to get a windows VPS with 512MB-1GB RAM on a Quad Core server and make sure they have RAID (10 prob best) and offer a form of backups.

If you do not want to use IIS direct then a control panel such as plesk would be handy for you I think.

Many companies offer custom systems for servers / VPS so I would suggest contacting some of them.

Hope you find what you are looking for :)

As per your disk space and bandwidth requirement, a shared hosting plan would be perfect if you opt for a reliable hosting provider. The number of domains and the feature you need is normally supported with all the Windows hosting plans. A shared hosting plan can fulfill your requirement, there is no need of a VPS at this stage.

For 10GB space you may need to be looking at reseller accounts if you want to avoid VPS. It may be possible to get a well supported and reliable "normal" shared host but you're more likely to find it with a reseller account or VPS at that level :)
