Hello,

I am in need of a web designer. I am a programmer by trade and have about as much artistic flair as a rock. And since webdesign is more like an art than a science I need an artist.

I am a little low on spare cash these days so I was wondering if anyone knew of a good webdesigner who would be willing to do a website and a template for my program in exchange for the ability to place a small (C) and logo/link on the template and site.

I was hoping to postpone this till I had extra revenue but I was told and I quote:

"More effort should be put into the interface system (even though im sure its no priority). To provide a more refined and clean-cut feel/look to the software. Nonetheless your features are great and im sure will be more in the future."

I guess basically I am looking for a kind hearted graphic designer because I of course do all the programming And since it's good enough for MB to do why not me? Any tips would be much appreciated!

only in the web design/develpment industry can you ask someone to work for peanuts. I'd like you to try this approach in any other industry. I gotta take my car into the shop tomorrow, maybe I'll see if they can do the work for nothing.

sorry acameron, nothing personal, I'm sure you're a great guy, I just get tired of people coming in here and asking for us to do work for next to nothing. I must get a request a week at plasmapages asking me to do stuff like this. Hey, I got no art skills can you help me out? I'll tell my mechanic that I got no car skills, can he help me out.

I get it all the time to. It's our industry, and if I have the time I always help out. I once programmed a whole mailing list software simply because they lady was nice. You know what it got me? When I started my own company she was the first one to come sign up.

Perhaps you could offer a percentage of the profits made off the software.

I considered that but decided against it, not being greedy but being lazy, I dont want to have to figure out how much I owe him every day:)

What kind of programming do you do? I am in need of a php (or anything not asp) script with a database like this: http://www.streetsourcemag.com/OwnerProfiles.aspx
I would also need to be able to use it with seperate sites and databases. If you can do this maybe we can work out a deal. Email me at spriddy@echoterra.com with info if you are interested.

Hi, Thanks to every one for the large amount of replies:) At this time I am going to go with RIPE as she seems to know what I need. Thank you again for all the replies!

Also, mbennett this does not effect our conversation. If you still need my help dont hesitate to email me!
