i want to have a plan where i can freely create multiple websites (subdomains and/or different domain addresses) as well as have unlimited (or alot of) pop email accounts and access to the preinstalled cgi scripts. i would also like to be able to install/upload my own configured cgi, php and asp scripts. basic e-commerce will be something i would like to try too, but not currently necessary.

i am leaning towards a virtual server since i do not have my own server. dedicated servers, co-located servers and raq servers are up for consideration although price is a concern.

also is location important? i am based in new york, if server location makes a difference.

Just about any decent host can accomadate that menu. PHP, Linux server now how much space and bandwidth do you need?

Oh And hopefully no spammers with the email accounts :)
