Hi Everyone,

I have been keeping an eye on this thread http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=908502.

I have no doubt in my mind that day effect the performance of my offers posted on forums. However has anyone noticed a difference depending on the time of day?

I used to do early morning but got nowhere. I have since started doing it early to mid afternoon (GMT) and I am getting more of a response now.

This is not to do with time zones by the way as most of my clients are from UK. If I post it early morning I get no responses from it and before you know it it's vanished to the second page.

Just wondered what time works best for you?

Not quite sure you'll get a response from everyone about the best time of day, it's a bit like asking how they get their clients. You're just not going to get much more than a few vague statements about this or that. I've found what you stated is true, the time of the advert posting does very much seem to matter, but I personally feel like it moves around a bit. The crazy thing with any advertising is that there are many variables and everything from timing down to diction affects how an ad is received.

Thanks CrazyTech, I don't really want to steal people's times. I have found the time slot that works for me.

I was just wondering if people had experienced similar effects and how different it is depending on location.

I suppose it also has a lot to do with how many people post their adverts at around the same time. You need to find a time where your advert will be at the top the longest.

Usually late week is best and before noon on those days ;)

(example: Thursday and Friday before noon)

You can figure out what works best for you if you write down some stats throughout the time you posted your offers. Trying it for each day of the week on various time, morning, afternoon, evening. Then repeat it several times, I think in time you'll come to see what works and what doesn't work so well.
