I have many master reseller accounts from many hosting providers, they are all famous companies in WHT .

These day we have some clients leave us because they find we are reseller.

After some testing and I find some of my providers have bad server anonymous.

For examples (if there is a hosting company with domain myhosting1234.com):
1. Their server name is not anonymous. They using sub-domain of their company main domain as server name (ex. s11. myhosting1234.com). Anyone use phpinfo() will see everything.

2. Their server name is half-anonymous. They use another domain as their server name. But after check the dns records, I find that the server name has NS records with their company's domain name (ns1. myhosting1234.com / ns2. myhosting1234.com).

3. Every time we create/delete accounts, WHM will show up messages with "Notification => system@myhosting1234.com via EMAIL [level => 3]". Any sub-resellers can see this.

I believe server anonymous is important for master reseller and reseller.

Does anyone have any ideas how to talk to these providers and make they do something about these issues ?

1. I suppose that is small %% of the end users which will do such research.

In any case if you want to have everything anonymous merge all your reseller accounts to the dedicated server ;)

It depends on the provider, some use a totally different domain as hostname and use anonymous name servers some don't.

Its all practically depend on how your reseller provider wants to treat their users. Some cases, they can forget few things if the server list too long, asking them the issues might help to resolve earlier.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I think I will try to contact them and explain everything.

This is the point I am not fully understand.

If I am a master reseller company I will do my best to provide anonymous server to my clients because they will need it.

If I don't provide it, I think I can get some of my client's customers.

Will they do this ??

It depends on the provider, some use a totally different domain as hostname and use anonymous name servers some don't.

I agree with mellow-h
Its all practically depend on how your reseller provider wants to treat their users.
If the client experiences excellent treatment, quick and communicative support, he/she might not care about buying from a reseller. Surely, being well taken care of is not always the issue; sometimes people just don't want to buy from sellers, they want to buy directly from the service provider.

To be honest you're not going to be able to sway a company (in all likelyhood) to change their policies that easily went it comes anonymity with the large issues. IE: If they don't have private server names, they're probably not going to change now. However, on smaller issues like email notifications, just ask!

The real key is to do your research when selecting reseller hosting and find the companies that do this from the start. I won't say this is something you should necessarily pay extra for by any means, but this is a detail that some providers will pick up on over other ones.

As far as it hurting your business, I can understand that. I think maybe if you'll put a little more time and effort into selecting your providers and then talking to the existing ones, you can cut down on the folks that leave you because you're a reseller.

Maybe your host is new in business and they are not aware of the importance of fully anonymous.
They may consider improving anonymous settings when they see the demand. :)

Hello everybody,
i think problem can be solved by editing standard Dns zone template in whm. I tried and it worked upto certain extent.
