View Full Version : More than 1 logo a good idea?

I am starting up a new business and I have designed a logo which I will be using for letterheads, contracts, business card, etc, but when I use it on WHMCS it goes blurred/pixelated. I think it's due to the text on the logo.

To combat this problem, I have designed another logo with less text and larger text, but is it a bad idea to have a different logo on the invoices than the logo that's going to be on everything else?

what format are you making the logo, png, jpg, gif?

I don't think it will matter much, people don't pay attention to your logo, it can be slightly different.

Also on your logo.jpg file, try resizing your logo in the middle of the logo.jpg and have some white area around your logo (so that your logo only take some small space in the middle of logo.jpg).

This will make your PDF invoice logo to be not so blurry.

I've tried all 3.

As I said in the other thread, I can't see this making any difference. All it will do is make the logo smaller.

I wouldn't if I was you, the customers will feel insecure about your site and may put them off

The logo that's meant for everything is http://www.citycm.co.uk/client/images/invoiceLogo2.png

The logo that I've done specifically for invoices (but would prefer not to use is http://www.citycm.co.uk/client/images/invoiceLogo.png

The invoices are here:

http://www.citycm.co.uk/1-4.pdf

The logo is fine when I save it from the about link. It's just when the PDF Creator gets involved.

Is it auto blowing up the logo to that size on it's own? There should be a setting that you can adjust to make the logo the size that you want and if not you can certainly have the code edited. Teh reason it's getting blurry is because it's making it bigger.

I've put in the dimensions of the logo (in MM) as per the WHMCS forum suggested.

Ok, I've just gone to link direct link for my logo, printed it out from there and it's still blurred so this may not be an issue with the PDF Creator.

Is there anything else I could try?

Using two logos for two different purpose for a website is never a good idea. You need to maintain consistency with your website and your billing for building good reputation. In your case try designing a logo that fits all cases, since changing file format is not helping you. Changing your image resolution might help. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the help. I remade the logo using Adobe Illustrator and it's all looking good now :)

It sounds like your logo was being auto resized causing it to pixelate. Glad to see you have it sorted. :)

I wouldnt do that. Every company has just one logo. It is their identity.
