View Full Version : "New Host Special" - XP1900 - 512MB - 60GBHDD - 600GB/month - starting @ 99$/month
StarGate 11-22-2002, 11:34 AM Special offer for new hosts in the scene who want to start their business smoothly...
AMD XP1900
ASUS motherboard
512MB RAM
60GB HDD, IBM 7200RPM
600GB/month on FDC's Yipes 1 GigE backbone
Free IPs (Arin)
Of course NO SETUP FEES
99$/month for the first month and then 129$/month for the next 2 months and finally 149$/month after the 3rd month.
The reason we priced it like this is not a marketing gag but we got many requests from starting web-hosts that have a very tight budget on our past 149$ offers for lower fees to begin with. This package gives you a 50$ "break" in the first (most difficult) month and still a 20$ "break" in the following 3 months. After 3 whole months we consider that every new host must have at least SOME customers.
And since you will be busy finding clients rather then learning SysAdministration and beeing busy with the server we offer these servers as "Semi Managed". Means that we apply all RedHat Updates and Fixes and install latest WebMin whenever a new version comes out.
We also install ANY ControlPanel that you might own on your server for no charge.
4 servers available
For all questions about the DC, Connectivity etc. consult the webpage of FDC Servers or reply/PM/IM/Email me as you wish.
There are NO ControlPanels whatsoever included. Just RedHat 7.3 and WebMin. We can also install Simple CP for you at no charge. Simple CP is a very good FREE Control Panel which even beats all the established ones in many areas.

Are you intersted in my offer, sir?
AmericanD 11-22-2002, 12:28 PM I have a question. Once the signature is removed by a mod, can u get it back ?
mdrussell 11-22-2002, 12:29 PM Possibly. I'm interested in features of the datacenter, specifically size, connections and their speed, router arrangement and redundancy plans. Photos welcomed too.... ;)

McRox 11-22-2002, 12:59 PM I'm interested :)
But id like to know more about uptime/bandwidth and data centre.
Do you have a file (1mb is enough) to check the speed? An ip to ping to would be appreciated too :)
richy 11-22-2002, 02:47 PM any more news on the going multihomed? thanks

Up to one hour after order placing ;)
interactive 11-22-2002, 07:22 PM Alright I'll probly order one in a bit. Waiting to see what dv2 is going to do their being slow as hell.
StarGate 11-23-2002, 06:51 PM Still 2 Servers left... they need to go-go-go! :D
mdrussell 11-23-2002, 06:56 PM Gonna answer the above questions?
BioXShell 11-24-2002, 03:40 PM Can we do SHELL HOSTING and IRC HOSTING on these servers ?
thagnks
Yes - I have the same question as BioXShell, are IRC connections allowed?
StarGate 11-24-2002, 04:33 PM IRC:
My policy does not allow IRC/Shell except in our FOOnet colo, not so much because we hav ethis colo but the fact that I would never mix IRC with Hosting.
SideNote: I DO have an IRC server running that I use and you can give you accounts on there. If you are interested feel free to PM or MAIL me :)
Alright nevermind - not interested
If I ordered via your FOOnet colo I would probably have to purchase that $300 firewall which is a waste of money, since from what I hear there network is quite slow..

Well let me put it this way: You don't have that firewall @ FDC anyway and with FOO you get at least a basic firewalling free. SO there is no argument about the 300$-FireWall
And their network is very fast actually ...
Yes but if you want to run IRC connections then you are forced to pay something like $300 per month ON TOP of your server fee.
And I know for a fact that there shell servers only get around 100kbps if that, as I have tested from a falcon box before..
There hosting boxes although are pretty fast..

Ok I take your word for it ;)
As to the shell-box I have, I can make you a "reseller" account there so you can setup new accounts etc but pls PM/MAIL me if you are interested as it is off topic :)

I thought the XP2000 ran at 1.7GHz? Maybe you meant the XP 2400+?
