HostOrca 11-29-2009, 12:36 PM Don't think this is the right section. This may be more suitable for this type of thread. Also many companies won't tell you how much they earn. (Not in public at least) http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6 TonyB 11-29-2009, 01:11 PM Well no sane person is going to tell you the number of clients or how much they make. Though I'll tell you this we're several years old and have several employees along with myself being quite well off. You can do well in the web hosting industry if you work hard and are good at it. Most people though lack the knowledge or do not put in enough effort to ever get to a decent size. SiberForum 11-30-2009, 06:01 AM I suppose that is sort of the confidential information. Do not expect everyone will tell you only truth in here ;) XelionOne 11-30-2009, 06:47 AM Thats a good question... But i most certainly would not answer all that!! Just stating that we have been in business since 2004 and are reasonably well off. There is currently 4 full time employees as well as 5 part time to fill in weekends. As well as 3 technical on site teams which are also well off... But I wont disclose the figures... RapidLeechHost 11-30-2009, 06:58 AM haha, No one is gonna disclose the exact figures of clients or their earnings, :) Its confidential and may be misused by the competitors... afam4eva 11-30-2009, 07:39 AM I'm still new. so, i've not started making gains. jwebhost 11-30-2009, 07:44 AM 6 months, 1 employee (me), and pure profit (not total income) around 19k. iHubNet-Matt 11-30-2009, 11:36 AM As every one said most of the host won't tell you the income or number of clients :). We have been in the industry for 3 years. amccoy 11-30-2009, 02:31 PM been in operation 8 months. Don't think many people will answer the rest. jrianto 12-01-2009, 10:47 PM Been in the industry since 97. Made some cash selling my 7 year old biz in 07, wrote a book, doing consulting work now. Next big thing: Destination China - who wants to dominate the Chinese web hosting market? It's a multi-billion-dollar industry. :D Who's coming in fast will gain a head start! SenseiSteve 12-02-2009, 03:42 PM Long story shortened a bit - essentially around since mid nineties - parent company (RCIG) owns one data center lock, stock and barrel, and has long term leases on another two - all three in St. Louis. XeHSean 12-02-2009, 03:51 PM I think you'll find that there is not a consistent correlation between company age and revenue because some companies have stronger business plans and more resources than others. With that being said, I doubt anyone will disclose this information to you over a public forum ;) cscarlet 12-02-2009, 04:02 PM Can't say I am a proper host, I have only ever had one paying customer. They paid for a year I sent them a letter saying hello with contact details and never heard from them again :S Since then I went to full time work and I put the hosting company on the back burner due and continued with supporting some community sites I am envolved in. adamramadhan 12-02-2009, 06:26 PM 20k per year ? are you sure ? is it pure ? so it means around 1000+k/month . TheSimpleHost-Nathan 12-02-2009, 08:07 PM Can't say I am a proper host, I have only ever had one paying customer. You sent them a letter? NolanCrutix 12-02-2009, 09:35 PM I have been in business for about 3 months and I am now almost profitting. Won't disclose any information on client numbers or revenue though. cscarlet 12-03-2009, 04:12 PM You sent them a letter? We wanted to add a personal touch to our service. |
