Hello,
I have seen on ebay many website sellers are providing hosting & they charge $69 /year...but I have noticed (if I am not mistaken) they host sites on godaddy or hostgator...I am confused what they actually do?
Please help!

They are just resellers.
There are loads of eBay sellers who sell "UNLIMITED RESELLERS" as well for £20/year. Or some charge £80 for "LIFE"... Then they dissapear, randomly delete your files or cut people off after a few months service.
There are perhaps 1 or 2 decent providers who advertise on eBay, but you get what you pay for at the end of the day.

Yes! They are Resellers and I will suggest not to go with them. Search WHT and you will find many great Hosting Providers ;)

Before Purchasing you must ask these questions from them. :agree: Also based on their information you can use following tools to test their Reply's Authenticity:

I would be really skeptical about buying anything other then just a domain name off ebay. I don't believe ebay permits listing hosting services for sale so if you buy a domain and then the hosting aspect of it's not working I doubt ebay could be of much help.
I know this isn't your question but i've seen dedicated servers / website hosting advertised on ebay and there doesn't appear to be a correct category for it so im sure it's not condoned by ebay.
If the seller is offering hosting make sure they are a reputable provider with a website and everything at least.
