The above thread confirms the existance of the "Thrown Threads" forum. Now we know for sure where the threads go when they are deleted, and this time a mod (Chicken himself) confirms it!

The majority of posts/threads that are removed are actually moved, not removed. Only posts which are really of no value what-so-ever are deleted (things like blank posts, etc.).

Same place - vB allows us to split individual posts off each thread and move them to a different forum where needed. Extremely useful feature.
