I need help fast...

I tried opening Photoshop (7.0) today and right before it was just about done loading the app in it quit! I tried tons more times but same problem... I also tried reinstalling it, still won't open. Yesterday I installed an update for Win2k and I thought that may have done it, so I uninstalled a few of the latest updates and STILL I can't open it! Now I really need this fixed !!

Anyone please help me...

- Shawn :(

Check adobe forums. There's an update out for 7.

Are you running any other apps at the time you try to launch it?

I've got PS6, and sometimes it won't open if apps such as Dreamweaver MX are running - it goes through the splash screen and then just closes.

It doesn't do it all the time though, only sometimes so I haven't bothered looking into it further.

This is what I'd do. Uninstall it completely, reboot, and then install.

I think you have beta version of PS7. I was have beta version and got the same problem. After installing final version everything goes perfect. No more problem like that at all :)

And ChickenSteak was right .. if you were running a copy with a blacklisted licence key and recently updated, there is a chance it wont start anymore. I think that was even announced by Adobe itself some time ago.

Anyways.. good luck solving the problem!

I tried the Photoshop 7.01 update and it just wouldn't work. :( Said the path was wrong to the PS path dir even though it was 100000% right! I'm just gonna have to stick with 6.0 till I feel like reformatting. :(

Yeah thanks Alex me too. :(

Well 6.0 works, but man I wish 7.0 would it's so much better. :( Looks like I'll have to reformat to get the latest version working, but who has time these days to do such tasks? :-p :(

7 fails to update to 7.01 = non-legit serial. RTFM.

Oh were you trying too? Man Adobe is just too smart for us non-legit people. :(

Can't wait till 8.0 ever comes out. :D
