Hey does have anyone have any suggestions on how to easily setup an OpenSER sip router? I've got a client who wants to setup one with bells and whistles but haven't don it before.
Thanks for your help.

Basically it's a VOIP Application Platform that is used to interface inbound and outbound calls into web services. They have a outbound calling system with automation and inbound auto responder for an 800#, local DIDs and an int'l DID that all need billing. Then there's a couple of PBX customers where they're just routing in/out calls which also need billing. So really it needs proper tracking and billing of all calls.
We looked at different ways of making it work and it looked like the best for all of them is to track all calls and get their customer billing done correctly was to setup a SIP Router. We chose OpenSER as what looked like the best open source choice. I installed OpenSER, CDRTool, SerMyAdmin, Freeradius, and tried to get Media Proxy working. They all sorta work individually but haven't had the time to finish. My understanding is that all those together allow detailed tracking of calls times and reporting for billing.
Anyways, I've spent a lot of time trying to get it running and I'm looking for someone at this point that has done it before and can either tell me whats missing or just do it.

I think you should look at SaaS billing it will be less problems for you. Here is a few companies who can offer you that: www.profitecinc.com and www.customcall.com
You can just off load them a CDR's and they system will do a rating and will provide end user with a bill.

Really doubt on OpenSIPS/OpenSER's capability to do billing. Billing of calls are handled usually by the Media server, FreeSWITCH does a better job here. What are you trying to achieve btw?
The Wiki here can help

Maybe putting a pro like me ;) to work might help ...

I didn't say that OpenSER would do the billing, that covers the call routing portion. The Media server reports like you mentioned would produce data the the CDRTool would use for reporting.
Bottom line it needs to route calls, and do billing, if you can help, drop me an email directly, would like to talk to you more.
