I see a few people up here selling sites that are listed on yahoo.
What's the big deal about being listed with them? I know it brings in more traffic, but I mean in the aspect of increasing domain worth.
I saw a few domain names that didn't make much sense being sold and actually got a few offers just because they were listed on yahoo.
I have 2 sits listed on yahoo, working on a 3rd.

listed in yahoo search result or yahoo directory??
if is in directory, then it may worth something, coz the owner paid yahoo stuff to review his site and list it there.
It brings in traffic directly from Yahoo, and helps also with ranking at Google and other search engines by virture of that high-authority link (depending somewhat on the category page on which the site is listed). And if you would pay to have your site listed in Yahoo anyway, that cost is already paid -- which used to be more significant when it was a one-time charge than it is now that it's $299/year.

I'm talking about yahoo directory.
I have 2 sites listed in there but I didn't pay. Just kept submitting for a while and they finally showed up. Category can be changed though.

personally i prefer google as yahoo uses it too, but i can understand why it increases the value of the domain because it means you dont have to do a lot of the advertising yourself, which as already mentioned if its in the directory it not only saves you time but money 2
