I need someone to point me in the right direction!
I have an RAQ4 and an linksys router at Home. I would like to set it up to work on a web project. I can't seem to get the name server working. One of the name servers will be off site and it will be the the secound. The question I have is with the server behind the router with port forwarding set. A record for each domain should be created but are they private address like 192.168.xxx.xxx or should it be the address my ISP has given me? The main address of the router. If it's the private address how does this name server talk to the out side. Also the name servers at the registor start with ns1.nameserver.com ns2.nameserver.com and the raq4 control pannel has been set set. I thought I had an idea of what needed to be done but seem to be lost. So if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
P.S. at one point something was working because the name server above me had my private address listed and not the router address!
looks like it pick up off a tranfser from the name server.
