When you use the live update does a little box come up saying "Confirming Subscription Status"?

Mine didn't used to but since the last update it does that.

I use Norton 2002 but have had that before. Live Update keeps a file with information on your subscription. I presume at times this file gets borked and it can't use it to confirm your dates.

The last time I saw that in 2002 was after I had to reinstall Live Update after it became corrupted. (kept sending Windows up too 100% CPU and locking things up).

If you have the time it's well worth going through the online help at symantec. They seem to have covered almost everything there is you look long enough

I dont get that. I just bought 2003 version few weeks back. maybe it did earlier but it does not now


However i have this problem with windows 2000 and norton av2003 . when i start my computer, initially for a couple of minutes, maybe three minutes, i cannot view the browser or check emails or msn since norton is related to scanning them first and norton takes that much time to load its auto-protect feature. its bad i gotta wait so much :(

I also have NAV 2002, and occasionally it says Confirming Subscription Status when I do LiveUpdate.

It doesn't really both me - it takes all of a second or two to do, and at the end of the day you still have your updates.
