That right there is golden.. It's really starting to get hard to defend anything he does when seeing things like this. :D

I think they've both been shown here and deemed fake, as mentioned above. Still classic though. Thanks.

For the top one at least, if it's a fake it's a really good one, since the line of the lens cap against the neck of General Schwartz, the man standing to Bush's left, is perfect. But even if it's real it doesn't say much -- anyone could pick up binoculars with the lens caps on and not notice until trying to look through them. I know I do it with my SLR camera all the time. And yeah, sometimes people laugh.

Hey, I guess that it qualifies me to be president!

Click here for some interesting facts on that picture:

Similar picture of Clinton looking through binoculars with their lens cap on made the rounds in the 90's. Maybe it was a democrat with photoshop out for revenge. :D

saw those here a couple weeks ago as me and another person pointed out, they are night vision, the lenses are capped for a reason. Most night vision double as bino's, theres really a little hole at the end of them. The second pic is probly just some lamer with photoshop.

You may be right, I don't know anything about binoculars, but why would he be wearing nightvision in light?

I must say, the first photograph has detailed with photo manipulation to an extreme extent. Good job to whoever did the conversion. ;)

Hrm... Talk about viral marketing. Slap on a URL on that image, e-mail it to all your friends... And boom! :D

What do you think of this president? (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=677889) :D

Well,

1) I think that's too far over the top. Putting someone as buddies with two of the biggest serial killers in recent memory is too far beyond simple fun
2) it doesn't look real at all.

You missed the point.
That proves Clinton in fact inhaled :D

I've seen a lot of night vision systems in my day (part of my previous life) but i've never seen any that double as day goggles. Blocking the front and only opening up a pinpoint would ruin the magnification. Night vision either works on ultra magnification of existing light (starlight, starbright) or on supercooled diodes. in handhelds, they are usually slsb type and would blow the two frontend receiver diodes if it were inadvertently pointed toward the sun with a pinhole filtering arrangement.

I have been out of that stuff for a few years though. i would be interested in seeing a model that was dual-purpose like that.
