Hi,

We're not exactly a web host, though we do have two domains that have bought in, so I guess we are..... ???

Anyway, our main site ahs a directory called downloads, which does pretty much what you would expect. We have a standard T1 connection. The files are ALL in excess of 10Mb

Of course the consequence of this is that 3 people on broadband can lock the site up.

Is there a straightforward way of restricting the per second bandwidth available to this directory? I want it to run around half the available bw, with the rest open to the other files in the site, and the other sites.

Cheers

Nick

Yes.

But if you would like to know how, providing additional info like the OS your server runs, and what control panel (if any) and other setup details would be a good idea. ;)
