Brian-de-vie 11-09-2009, 01:45 PM Hi, Are you sure you have them set up correctly ? as .co.uk nameservers are a little querky' to set up. They should be come nameservers 'instantly' but you will still need to wait for propergation, upto 72 hours [very slow hours]. I'm sure if you post a little more info, the experts here will comment. Zaffer 11-09-2009, 05:31 PM You may check the whois for your new NameServers at Internic site. Stan Marsh 11-10-2009, 06:45 AM You may check the whois for your new NameServers at Internic site. WRONG suggestion. Internic does not provide any DNS information for .UK domains. idcyber 11-10-2009, 06:49 AM .co.uk not change ns instanly. Every change in your domain manager, have to wait approval from Nominet. But, two days is not normal. My .co.uk take effect in an hour after change made. Zaffer 11-10-2009, 02:08 PM WRONG suggestion. Internic does not provide any DNS information for .UK domains. Please check it for yourself. http://reports.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=ns1.bbc.co.uk&type=nameserver dren 11-10-2009, 03:57 PM Do you actually have name servers running on the other end of those name server host names? Etherwood 11-12-2009, 04:26 AM Do you actually have name servers running on the other end of those name server host names? Yes :P Internic is still showing "No match for nameserver". I am wondering if this is an issue with 123-Reg. I used the control panel to make a nameserver change three days ago but its still not gone through. There is no point contacting 123-reg support because when they eventually come to the support ticket after several days, I'll get a stupid answer off them. dren 11-12-2009, 05:22 AM OK, I meant no offense. I have seen where people make up name servers before and expect it to work with no name server actually running. :) In my experience UK registrars can be frustrating. I would wait for their response... as they would be best able to help you setup glue records. angeli 11-12-2009, 05:35 AM Have you checked your name server? That is no problem as long as that corrects, and you have paid your domain and hosting registration. Etherwood 11-12-2009, 06:55 AM The website being run from the name servers is actually working so they must be resolving for it to load up, its just other domains are refusing to use those name servers because it thinks they don't exist. I'm going to switch the domain over to UKReg, I'm sick of waiting for a reply off 123-Reg. At least UKReg reply within about 5 minutes. |
