View Full Version : Indian Merchant Account... Your Preferred Choice Requested
antony_m 11-04-2009, 12:14 AM We are looking to implementing online payments (i.e. CC, Debit Card) and want to hear your experience and preferred choice between CCAvenue.com and Paysignet.com. I have done a search on these forums but don't have any recent reviews which is what I'm looking for.
Woooo 11-04-2009, 02:27 AM I have used ccavanue and found it really lousy, and paysignet also looks no exception,
with ccavenue it really shows very unprofessional attitudes, in EVERYTHING.
They have huge commission percenatges 4% for online banks transfer OMG theyare crazy.
Plus the most foolish thing is they have an annual software upgradation charge? what s that, why would merchants pay for anything foolish like it? you are making crazy money already by big transaction costs, then why would somebody pay for a fee like this, But the current scenario is because of not much players in e-commerce market in india. So they rip off because they can.
The best possible solution I found was having a current account in couple of banks, 1 nationalised bank and other private sector bank, SBI and ICICI are recommended. And ask your clients to send funds manually through online banking, its the best way i found.
Vinayak_Sharma 11-04-2009, 05:40 AM Not heard of Paysignet.com
As Woooo said have account with multiple banks, add PNB to the list.
Also have a look at http://ebs.in
rx100 11-04-2009, 04:12 PM Hi wooo- does indian processer provide services for online pharmacies.
antony_m 11-04-2009, 05:02 PM @Woooo
Do you have first hand experience with CCAvenue? With regards to SBI and ICICI do you happen to have experience and/or pricing details?
@vinsar
Do you have first hand experience with EBS? I believe they're part of Axis Bank and you need to have an Axis Bank account in order to withdraw funds. Would you happen to know anything about this?
Vinayak_Sharma 11-05-2009, 01:07 AM Antony using bank accounts and manual money transfer through cash/cheque/online is plain & simple though it will need some manual work at your end too (payment tracking/posting).
Some of our clients are using EBS and they are satisfied.
antony_m 11-05-2009, 11:50 AM @vinsar
Thanks for your prompt replies, is it true with EBS you need to have an Axis Bank account to withdraw funds or this is not valid?
Vinayak_Sharma 11-05-2009, 12:10 PM I am not sure on this one, I think you can directly ask them such questions.

Thank you for your feedback, I have filled out the contact form on EBS and now going to wait and see how long they take to respond.
Rollguy 11-05-2009, 05:53 PM I had problems with CCAvenue, only because they grew too big and the banks did not want to deal with us as they acquired all these top notice banks, but they were damn hard to get a hold of, always felt when they went down that was it, phone them up and it is some tech guy in his basement talking to you. They had issues often, not working sometimes, they even lost the abilitiy to take orders for a week but got back visa due to mc changing their terms or something. They received and intergrate with paypal so they post, just so damn hard to get hold of them. Customers sometimes did not like seeing singapore on their statements either. They cut me off one day, refund 11k in orders that had not been batched out, but they did pay me hold back funds 6 months later, go figure. That was a first from any of these companies, most just keep the money, hence the reason I had seeing one hold 10k of your funds at one time, cause you will never get it back unless you quit them.
