Who still has cpanel reseller plan with MySQL 4.1?
Some of our clients(NON-porn sites) use custom scripts and don;t want to update it to mysql, we want to find a reseller plan for them, any suggestions?
Need to assure that at least we could still use it for another one year

thanks:)

Get a VPS and stay on the mysql 4 branch for as long as you/they like? :)

I am aware of that route, but want to stay away from server management in this case as much as possible :)

I had problem with scripts that used mysql3/4 - 4.1+ seems to be fine.

A fully managed vps would be the best solution.

I think the OP wants a reseller account so he can save some money.

Maybe find some big hosts with the price range you look for then contact them personally. Probably they still have a server or two running MySQL4 to support clients similar to yours :)

I would recommend getting a vps - fully managed - it's the best option..

The best solution would be fully managed VPS

the amount of control makes it worth it but if you can find a managed solution you should be fine since you will get all the help you need. Most shared hosts usually upgrade to the latest php, apache, mysql, etc. because it makes more sense for them to keep up with scripts that require newer versions of mysql or apache to function.

so...I also vote for VPS. I'm not sure of any host that are still on mysql 4.x because it is pretty old. what happened with the current host?
