I need to buy another server and now that cpanel works on FreeBSD, im going to install freeBSD. My question is:
How is freeBSD's multiple processor support now that 4.6 came out? How does it compare to red hat? I currently have a red hat machine and it has very good SMP support.

Thanks for your help,
-Dan

The current version of FreeBSD-RELEASE is 4.7.

You would get a better response to this question by posting to the freebsd-smp mailing list. You can also search the archives.

Btw, BSD UNIX != Linux.

Version 5.0 is supposed to match or outdo Linux on SMP
