Hi
I have asked my host to allow me to own my own files rather than having to pester him to chown them for me all the time (since the files are auto-generated by visitors and it would'nt be practical). Anyway, I send him/her an email and 4 days later I am advised to go into my Cpanel and activate my scgi-bin, then delete it, then create a sym-link, then...blah...blah. In all fairness, they DID offer to do this for me but the problem is that Google does NOT index the scgi-bin so I lose traffic and besides, this seems like sort of a round-about-way of doing things. Am I just nuts or is this just the "way" things are done these days?
Thank's.
