Anyone use or know of a good (maybe free) way to have "special" emails ring your phone and have the message dictated to you?

This is similar to what I'm looking for: http://www.email2phone.net but paying for a monthly plan seems silly for maybe one call a month.

Never heard of something like that before.
Why not just use a PDA?

I've got a great phone that I get all my mail on. I suppose there's some sort of application I could install which would play an alarm if I, for instance, got a pingdom down notification.

Regardless, ringing my home phone / cell phone would be a bit more of an assurance that I don't neglect something important. I've let my cell die from time to time...
