Because of recent issues with 2checkout I'm looking for back up payment processor. At this time I'm considering Paysystems. I have sent them email yesterday but did not get reply so far, here are my questions:

- What kind of documents do they require ? (for non-us merchant, their non-merchant processing option IBA)

- How long does it take to set up the account ?

thanks

I sent them an email 6 days ago, and still no reply. So I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I might resend the email now.

// Edit: I resent the email and got a reply within 5 minutes! Now thats what I call service!

Unless it's changed, the only documentation you need to send them is the merchant agreement they'll get you to sign and fax into them. It was a pretty short and painless experience from memory.

If you don't hear from them after a few days it's worth giving them a call to confirm they've got your details. The sales dept can be a little forgetful when it comes to new signups. Support is very good though once you're all signed up and live.

That is correct.

Usually support is good. I just had a major pain in the butt problem with Paysystems though (They were charging all my CAD clients in USD, but giving me CAD; they admitted it was a problem, then when it continued in the next cycle, they denied they ever had that problem). Definitely, the watchword is vigilence sometimes with PaySystems. If they don't respond appropriately in a day or so, followup because they will forget you. If you get someone less than helpful, you will eventually get someone that is.

okay,
i just signed up with Paysystems, it was pretty easy, I got my login information after about 10 minutes. I logged in and tested the system. I read that now I have to set up my web site so they can review it, they asked me to set up links on my order page... everything was okay till the support guy told me (i love the online chat thing) that i cannot create recurring transaction till my account is in 'live' status. So now I have web site without proper order form and have to wait up to 48 hours till they review my site and change the status so I will be able to set up recurring transactions.

So guys I'm sorry but you cannot sign up with me for the next 48 hours :D

As for documents, they asked me to sign and fax the contract to them.
