Hi all,
Firstly, il introduce myself, I am Matthew Rixom, from Telford, UK i've been browsing WHT for years but never actually took the steps of signing up.

A family member used to operate a fairly large VPS Provider and due to family & other business commitments sold up and moved on, I did a fair bit of support work for her company and now I think i am ready todo something of my own.

Other than their leading advice id like to ask the community what you think about it? I know it's a very saturated market and there is way too many providers to chose from as it is but I feel i can bring something unique to the table.

I'm in a fairly financially stable situation and if 100% need-be i have the capital to hold a 20 Node company down from my own pocket for around a year (Based on average pricing).

What do you think to business partners? I've heard mixed stories and seen a few people who ended up being screwed over big time by them.

I'm not considering a fly-by operation here this is something ive put alot of thought into, wrote a fairly comprehensive business plan and i know where i want it to go.

Any help much apreciated :)

Good luck on started your business! It is a competitive market, but everyone can find their own niche.

Regarding the business partners, I have always stayed away from them. Nobody will care about your business like you do.

Yeah i think the descision regarding business partners is already 99.9% made. But I think this business should be run by it's leaders and what better place to ask than the biggest board in the world? lol

This step rather difficult.
Perhaps you should start with small size first.

How do you mean this step? i dont really understand what your getting at there, I didnt mean im going to buy 20 Nodes, i meant i "Could" if i had to.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a business partner. Get to know them before you comitt to anything, meeting them in person is also a good idea so you know exactly who you are dealing with.

If you have the technical background, determination, startup capital and lots of Coffee, then why not :)
