This is NOT an offer..just a question. Would this be a good, competitive price for a reseller account on PLESK 5.0.3 with unlimited everything except:
10GB Disk
100GB transfer
For $64.95/month
Would that be a good offer?

I think it looks like a good price to me. It's a bit more than some other providers. But I am sure you provide quality service at that price.
If your service is on a good network and you provide great service then your price is good. Customers will always pay for quality service. :)

Any less $$$ and you will be starving yourself.

I actually think its too cheap. How many accounts like that would you be wanting to load on a server?

Then I can't see how that gives much room for profitability.
$64.95 x 4 = $259.80
The cheapest server you could get is going to cost about $100 a month, a decent one with a good firm will probably set you back upwards of $200. I just can't see how that leaves you with much profit at all to cover support fees, salaries, eating out, expensive cars.... ;) It sure is an attractive offer, but its not gonna make you a rich man.

hehe, I have never felt like doing anything to become a rich man. Always in my life, I have sold stuff. I have never had prices even remotly close to anyone else, because I don't allow my self to make much profit. I'm more or less in it because it makes people happy, and if they are happy, and I'm not LOSING money (:)), I'm happy too :) I may not go that low in pricing, but I may :) hehe

OK, fair enough. But if you run into any problems and the data center charge you for over the average support (sometimes thats like $100/hr) then you would like to have a little in the kitty to stop you going into the red. Also, sell a few of these and start working 18 hours a day for peanuts -- then I just hope that customer satisfaction will be enough.
For me customer satisfaction is what its all about, I strive to ensure my customers are *always* happy - but at the same time I'm not about to work like a slave to make that so.
If customer satisfaction is your priority, I would probably raise your prices and make your clients happy by giving them the confidence of thinking that you are in it for the long term.
Anyhow, good luck with it whichever path you choose.
Jo :)
