http://www.unitedcolo.com ---> Has anyone ever heard of these guys?
I have just ordered a server from them (there's no setup, so no risk on at least testing the machine out), but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their support/uptime/etc ...
Thanks,

Hehe, first time I heave seen somebody order a server and then ask how their services are ;)
I heard they are getting much much better :D
You really might want to hit the search button up on top of the page. They've been discussed in great detail here recently.

They started out a little bit rough, but now they've been improving, but there are still some scattered dissatisfied customers.

Sorry, I'll be sure to do that Jtru.
As far as ordering and then asking, heh ... my current host (who I will not name) is absolutely HORRIBLE, and I wanted to get off as fast as I possibly could. I really can't imagine anyone being worse than them, as it takes about a week to get any response from their support guys.
Thanks for the help,

MRTG reading from one of my unitedcolo servers today:
Max Out: 9353.2 kb/s (9.4%)
Max In: 3254.9 kb/s (3.3%
Can't complain about network speed =).

Their network speed is fantastic. I was able to max 10mbit/s 24 hours a day when I still got a server. Their downtimes was due to DDOS (which I never really encountered). Generally, Internap bw is really good and that's what they got. They are probably one of the cheapest you can ever find. I think they are probably as good as rackshack. Service is quick (replies to email takes mins) though the replies are not satisfactory always. But then again, these are unmanaged servers. Generally, it's ok to get one to test (like me). Over time, I am sure they can only get better.
The only issue is to be careful of any changing terms. They did that a couple of times to me in the short 1 month I was there (which resulted in me terminating). They retrospectively apply to customers without any form of communication. So my advise is to check their webpage often for changes, ask lots of questions when in doubt. You may discover some of those changes.
