Globix is probably the closest Colocation Center for me, a well known name and good backbone/peering points. But They're giving me a Price Quote of 1Mbps Half the Cabinet for 1K, is that even a good price?

They don't do less than Half the Cabinet :(

Oh I'm talking about the Globix Data Center In Downtown Mahattan, that's the closest place to me(4 blocks), It looks pretty big, but.....kinda cost alot. Don't u guys think so?

Sounds expensive... very expensive. However, you pay for quality. What type of bandwidth? Do they provide any equipment?

The Actual Price is 875 per 1 Mbps and Half Cabinet.

No Equipment, Only Half The lock Cabinet, Power, and the Ethernet Plug you need (capped bandwidth of course)

Unless they are providing a switch and servers for you to fill that half cabinet with thats a ****ty deal for NYC. globix is not exactly anything special. Their peering is good but not great. You do get a pretty badge thou.

Well Globix giving me half da Cabinet That's 20 U , Each addidtional 1Mbps will cost 300, Price will go down if I get like 40 Mbps or more ... but still too much.

The Only Good thing about Globix is that...it's 4 blocks away from me! :)

but I rather walk 20 blocks to 25 broadway and save myself some big bucks

I send you the Email already. I only got One PM from you, but doesn't matter, check your Email

Thanks

You ain't seen nothin'.

A quote I got from Inflow (last year) was approx. $1500/mbps.

Havenco is $1500/mbit as well. But that is a bit understandable since they are in the middle of the ocean.

Since it's only four blocks away from you, did you get a chance to tour it?
I've seen a few centers. But, that one makes me drool.

I don't even want to go "tour" after I see the "875" word on my email and "listen" to the same thing over the phone.

that price can get me a Full T1 to my location already PLUS I got a big ass space unused how many u's are there? I think I can fit 500 Us with just my spare space!

I manage a serve in Globix DC in NYV for a customer. General Globix staff is okay, the NOC crew is great though! I don't pay the bill on that server so I can't say much about price. But connectivity and peering is great. Lately they have had some peering issues with Level3 at times.
