HostThree 10-18-2009, 09:16 PM Deppends on the company, I wouldn't cost with any organisation that offers unlimited space unless I knew they were huge i.e HostGator, UK2 etc.
I would want 99.9% uptime, fast support in the US I would probably pay about $4.95-$9.95 I wouldn't join a UK company that offered this though.

That's what I would pay for a plan with these features
akirah 10-25-2009, 02:37 AM Nope, I won't pay any for any host that says keeps stating the unlimited features. Not convincing.
Mark Muyskens 10-25-2009, 02:40 AM How big are the HDDs in the servers? Can i fill up the whole thing?
The-Pixel 10-25-2009, 03:26 AM Nope, I won't pay any for any host that says keeps stating the unlimited features. Not convincing.
I couldn't agree more! :D
iloveunicorns 10-27-2009, 02:47 AM I couldn't agree more! :D
trying to bash me heh
all the successfully hosts offer unlimited features
fatcow
hostgator
justhost
more
unlimited bandwidth is 100% possible now
unlimited space sure go for it fill the whole thing up
on average a website does not use more than 1 gb space and on average everyone hosts no more than 10 websites on an account.
it is either i sell has 25gb/250 gb bandwidth or unmetered it doesn't make a difference because you will end up using the same amount.
and if your site is any good you will have big time traffic and you will get a vps/vds
my servers can handle 17 million uvs, transfer about 8.6 million megabytes a day.
it is legit and if manged properly it works.

My statement was never meant to be in a 'bashing' or offense way. It's simple, I have my own thoughts about unlimited offers.

Agreed. Even if your the OC Provider nothing is unlimited/unmetered.

I consider digitalpoint to be a joke.
HostColor 11-02-2009, 09:48 AM If I was a customer I would pay around $5 and then would try to use as much space as I can... Well I wouldn't do it actually, but most of the customers you are trying to fish with this offering would do this. I have to say also that Shared Hosting has already gone "unlimited" so there is nothing to be ashamed of when you try to sell "unlimited". However I'm afraid that it is very crowdy on the overselling hosting market :)
My advice to you is to focus on any niche where you would be able to establish the company without being presses so much from the competition.
GNAX - Terrence 11-02-2009, 09:58 AM I'm a 100% sure all these host that offer unlimited HD and Bandwidth has a limit. Read the fine print.
labelhost 11-08-2009, 02:59 AM It depends, basically on reputation of the company and the terms of service they offer. If it is a company that has too many restrictions on.., file count, CPU usage, memory.. i go for a low price some where around 6 to 9 dollars per month.
elitehostpro 11-08-2009, 05:00 AM I charge $14.99 without the domain - so thats a good starting point - I don't know what you pay for dmain names so I can't really offer much there
iloveunicorns 11-08-2009, 10:52 AM I consider digitalpoint to be a joke.
i agree they banned me for no reason.
plyrjohn404 11-10-2009, 05:16 AM I would pay about $18 for that account.
It def matter's what company it is though, If it's a bad company like webthosting, then def not.
aaranperry 11-14-2009, 02:02 PM i would say about $3 - $6
websiteguy 11-14-2009, 02:56 PM there is no unlimited thing. if you think are than go and check terms and condition of these big hosts.
your will find inode limit meand hard disk is limited.
you will see processing power usage / mins or seconds this means cpu limit
I hope you get some thing,
I am tired of unlimited unlimited! its only a marketing gimmick ok!
to me price $5-9 is ok
