Hello everone I just purchased a new XTR for our 40 plus domains we own.
However a couple of sites have problems to Enable FrontPage Server Extensions.
I have turned on & off the "FrontPage Server Extensions"
for that domain on the "Site Settings" control pannel with no help.
Also in WS_FTP have deleted all the underscore "_" files then try to turn on & off thru the UI but no help.
I guess the next step is to telnet and check / delete some files but I do not know where to start.
Thanks

Greetings:
Unless you truely understand how the extensions work on the server, DO NOT delete things ;-)
This reminds me of a decade ago when I was working at a visiting nurse assocation as their manager of I.S. A person was having problems with Windows, so deleted everything in their c:\windows directory ;-)
1. Visit http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;fp10se and check out the resources.
2. See the newgroups available at http://www.msfrontpage.net/fp/newsgroups.htm, and post specific details of the problem, what you did (including the erasing etc.), and ask for help there.
Thank you.

These fp problems are very common (at least on my stack of raqs).
You can SSH in your box, locate the frontpageextensions file for that specific site and delete it (after you switched off the extensions in de CP).
When you switch the extension on again for that site the problem will hopefully be solved.

When Frontpage will not re-initialize:
A. From the interface, remove frontpage extensions check
B. Telnet Login as admin then root
C. Delete all _* files in frontpage web
D. Goto /usr/local/frontpage
E. Delete the www.domain.com.cnf file
F. Re-install FP extensions from the interface
G. Upload site.
H. Done!
Use at your own risk.
Done!
