FreeKill 10-16-2009, 11:17 PM J2ME is still used for some, but the Android API is probably where it's at for Java development on mobile phones these days. The Android API is all Java as well, but you have more freedom and access to more libraries than J2ME. I found going from J2ME to Android to be very straight forward. I personally think Android adoption is going to be big, just yesterday the CEO of Google hinted at big things to come: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/10/15/schmidt-android-adoption-is-about-to-explode/ jjk2 10-17-2009, 01:36 AM really ? it seems everyone around me is hooked on iphones. FreeKill 10-17-2009, 01:54 AM iPhones are a big deal, no doubt about it. I was just offering a suggestion for sticking with Java. You gotta think though too, while apple has only one phone in a years time Android will be running on a dozen or more potentially... jjk2 10-17-2009, 04:20 PM im quite surprised android is picking up this fast.... i hope android becomes just standard... xuan1982 10-22-2009, 02:44 PM yes, J2EE have tools to transfer, you should try it. |
