View Full Version : How to code a CPanel skin?

I've come up with a layout in photoshop for Neopanel, but my users really like it and would like to cooperate with me to turn it into a CPanel skin. I have absolutely no idea where to begin, but I do like the idea. SOme of my users are quite experienced at coding and have already expressed a strong intrest in doing this.

Are there any tutorials on how to go from design to CPanel skin anywhere (which I strongly doubt)? Is there anybody that has done this before that is willing to give a few pointers? Is there any sourcecode I can grab anywhere (or do I go looking for a tarbal of an exhisting theme and try to get the source out of that)?

This skin would primarily be for own use, but I wouldn't mind releasing it for public download if we ever get that far.

I strongly hope somebody can be of some help. My users seem to have their hopes up on this and I certainly don't want to disappoint them.

P.S. This isn't commercial hosting, I'm not making a dime out of this.

I think you can download a skin's themeball from within WHM.

hey tazz you can msg me and i will try to help you as much as i can. best thing to do is get a tarball and just go page by page.. Just understand it takes hours and hours and hours to do one since there is a lot of files.

Thanks

I'm quite aware this isn't a 5 minute job. I'll grab the tarbal from within WHM and forward it to the people that want to do the coding. I'll be sure to contact you if any assistence is needed.

Thanks for the help.
