My site is down because of mix-up and my domain name being in redemption. Tried to talk to iPower, and they say it has to be $160. I'm not married to the name, and want to find out, if I can simply change the name(Whether with them or a transfer). I've contacted them, but haven't heard back. Obviously, I'm new to all this, and did do a search, but couldn't find the answer. Was just wondering, since there are over 4 months left on my current domain payment, is it possible to use the account, or do I need to start all over again. Any help is appreciated.
What name do you want to change?
I'm confused, is your domain name in redemption or do you have 4 months left?

Do you mean if you can register another domain under the same account or did you purchase a domain a while back and want to change it?

My guess for your inquiries is that your site is down because your domain dropped into redemption period. In order to take renew your domain, you have to pay $160. So now you are thinking of getting a new domain for your 4 mths hosting?
If is in this case, you will need to contact your hosting provider. Normally they will setup a new hosting for you under new domain name.
But, is best you clarify out clear so that we can help you more.

The migration will depend on the software you are using - for a site built on Wordpress, for example, you can export the posts and theme for integration into a new site. Make sure you have a backup of all current files from your host (you should be able to access through IP.)
