Some companys like clikatell offer a reseller service, or they did, try googling 'Bulk SMS Service'.
Also you can create a customised api and then resell bulk reseller SMS's.
Hope I havnt lost you there.

Take a look at : http://www.clickatell.com/index2.php

Note that you got to look into what is allowed when it comes to SMS marketing though; just like with email there are several spam regulations for sms/text-messages as well.

This is a good question, I'm going to look into it.

You could try getting a Reseller, But I personally do not know how to set one up.

There are a few scripts and APIs that allows clients to send SMS messages through you.

Thanks everybody.
What people say to go for clickatell ? Is it a only company on the universe which provides this service ? Is there monopoly of it ?
You know before few months, I saw a website where we can send SMS to any person from any name, its free. Server was located in Germany.
I dont want to use clickatell. I would like to have my own SMS gateway.

There are more companies which offer this; if you only need to send SMS in your own countries providers you should contact them for gateway options.

Clickatell is just one of the large players offering many types of API interfaces. Not to mention cheap, unless you can have a better deal with a local telecom provider.

I would like to have my own SMS gateway.

Then you need to be able to pay upfront for access via SMSC. It will not be cheap.

I agree also that Clickatell is one of the best in SMS solutions. Take a look and in mysmsaddress . I used to use it and it is a fair service.

I needed something like this (to allow users to authenticate themselves). If you're just getting started then BulkSMS.com is pretty cheap and there's no monthly fees: http://usa.bulksms.com/w/pricing.htm

However, the SMS part of our project was dropped directly after internal testing so we never got to use it in production. I can't say if they're reliable, etc... but their pricing is good (although I didn't call any of the ones that don't post their pricing since I wasn't planning on super high volumes to start with).

I worked for NeuStar (the Common Short Coder Registry) for some time as a consultant. There are several different types of SMS based platforms that you can use. Most of the time to start and develop your own platform, you will have to enter into negotiations with the wireless network providers (Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, etc..)

You can utilize a common short code based platform which is a number you can text to (5 or 6 digits) that is interactive with the consumer, or you can utilize a web based application that requires the end user to interact online. If you want more information, I can point you in the right direction as to your requirements as I know all the major players.

The key I think is to have relationships with US providers, or the providers that service the particular country you are looking to do an SMS campaign in. . . Different platforms are going to work differently as telephone numbering systems differ by country. Go to usshortcodes dot com and click on implement a campaign. There you can get a good list of SMS applications providers that could do a whitelabel product etc...
