This company has setup many demo reseller accounts for me and there tech seems awesome. These guys genuinly want to help. They seem to offer great prices, and from teh demo accounts i think they really are the best

i dont use them, but i'm looking into them now - good reviews. How is their speed?

Do you have any examples...ie. a domain we can visit to test how fast it is ourselves?

like i said, i am getting my domain up within the week because i had to gather my cash together

I have been speaking with insaneraptor for a week now via on AIM for a few hours on a daily basis. He initally contacted me after I replied to this thread: http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88612 which he was looking for hosting but was not 100% sure of the type he needed for his local church site and a gaming site he is involved with. I set him up a demo reseller account and walked him through the steps of adding a domain to his reseller account and how to do other administrative duties via the reseller control panel vs. having a shared plan for each domain and along the way ended up making a good friend. :)

As far as the anti-RS comment I would have to day that RS has been pretty good to me all year damn good as a matter of fact, to the point where I am looking at having <10 mins downtime for the year. Can you say the same?

Also I would appreciate it if you could keep this thread on topic as I find this is the #1 problem at WHT is that some hosts like to bash other hosts when a nice comment is made because they think it is funny when in actuality you yourself are the only one that thinks you are funny and you will soon realize trolls of your shape, size and breed to not make it long around here with such behavior.. and last but not least I think I would be the last one talking about uptime/support issues if I had the following on my site :laugh:

I think it's great that some praise is going on towards a host. Who cares if he's at RS? You could replace that with any DC and still somehow make it condecending...

If you had read the whole post you would have seen that I set him up with a demo reseller account last week and have just been walking him through how to setup domains, users, mysql etc.

No offesne KG but it really really helps to fully read a post before you make a comment...

I think KG's point is that you just signed up so you may want to wait awhile before praising your host. Correct me if I'm wrong KG.

Where exactly do you say how long you've used them?
OKIHost reported speaking to you for a week. If that's all the
longer, then you certainly cannot testify that they more than great at setting up your demo reseller accounts. This is not evidence that they are great in the long haul.

As I've said elsewhere, I've never had a problem setting up
with a new host. All the problems I've had with hosts surfaced much later, usually 7-10 months after using them.

No offense OKI but it takes more than setup to make a good host. He didn't provide the length, you did. You may be a great host, but there is no way that one week is enough time to bear that out.


BTW I did read the full post, I just wanted to verify that you had
not really had enough experience with this host. One week isn't much to go on.

lol.. is anyone reading this post? he DOES NOT have an account with us YET! He is extremely new to the whole hosting scene and was looking for hosting for hosting for his church's site and for a gaming site he is involved in. He needed to be helped in understanding how all the hosting basics such as DNS, FTP, MySQL and setting up domains, users etc. I have been speaking with him for a little over a week for a few hours on a daily basis.

He is getting his opinion from his experience in how helpful he feels I have been in walking him through the above, my typical response time via email/AIM and server availablilty which yes I know you cannot really judge until you have some type of monitoring in place and a domain hosted.

Please for the love of god read the whole post before you reply..

He doesn't have an account than how can he testify that you are the best. He wouldn't really know if he hasn't hosted with you now would he? The topic for this thread is My Best Hosting Experience, yet he doesn't really have any experience hosting with you then. So what is the point of making such a post at all.

I don't actually remember saying that I was a good host? Also I understand that insaneraptor's post has less impact as he has only been talking to me for a week but he wanted to post a good review for me so he did.. It's funny because when he showed me the inital post I told him lets wait and see how long it takes till the vulture come and start picking me apart lol..

I myself would no go on any review of a person that has not been with a service provider for less than 6 months but like I said before he is new and just wanted to post his experience which in turn is why this is a public message board..

He didn't say "My best might-want- to- host-with-company" or
"the host that has helped me getting start the most," he said "My best hosting experience?" And yet in truth has no hosting experience with you. Rather deceptive is it not?

More accurate would have been a post thanking you for helping him better understand what he is doing.

Well if he has had demo-accounts then he has had experience with them....And this may be his first experience. So he would be telling the truth. And the time of hosting doesn't matter either. he could only have the host for 2 days and post a review; many people may just skip over it but he's entitled to his opinion...Right?

Well since this is my FIRST HOSTing experiance it has been my best. Okihost.com has provided awesome Support for me AND I HAVENT SIGNED UP YET. Demo accounts do count for an experiance...

I agree... he is entitled to his opinion. But I think that you can't accurately judge a hosting company until you have been with them for awhile, as clients seem to be treated very well when they first sign up...

But everyone has a right to post their opinions.

This is getting out of hand.

ive heard good things about total-host, and they have much better pricing (MUCH BETTER!). at www.tutorialforums.com, there are soom good comments on total host, so i wan to be fair to them and let each other know!

once again im sorry if its not true or something, but theyre EXCACTLY the same website, with diff. names and hosting plans.

Pretty sloppy rip job if you ask me not even 1/2 the links work..

but theyre better...they have better hosting. i emailed them and they responded in like 1 hour. they are 4 people . 1 of which i know and he wouldnt do that...how can u back up that ur the original???

look troll I do not need to explain anything to you it is quite obvious that either you run total-host.net or are affiliated with them in some way. I have sent them an email requesting that the rip be taken down within 48 hours or I will notify his upstream of the issue..

Well, your thread title is misleading. If this is your ONLY hosting experience, it is not only your BEST hosting experience, it is also be your WORST hosting experience.

You do a host no favors by posting a review with your limited experience.

I have known paul (OKIHost) for some time now. I will be honest with you all.

Paul makes sure that everyone at OKI is kept happy. I am sure everyone who is an OKI client would have positive comments for the company. Paul is one of the most friendly persons i have ever met.

As for Total-Host.Net, i am dam sure he/she is just a Kid and would remove the design/content etc soon.
