Hi,

Could someone please explain to me what does 100mbps (mega bits per second) = in kBytes/s ? Also what would 10mbps = in kBytes/s? Sorry for the dumb question. Could you show me how you arrive there with the numbers? Also, how can I test my connection to see what speed I am actually connected at? (100mbps vs. 10mbps)

Thanks in advance.

8 bits in a byte

100/8

that devided by 1000

Here is a 'bandwidth calculator' that I have bookmarked:
http://www.xhostx.com/BandwidthCalc/BandwidthCalulator.asp

I am not associated with the company hosting this page in anyway, I just find it a useful conversion tool, there are others but I don't have them bookmarked
